Chaska Historical Society’s book “Chaska, A Minnesota River City, 1950-2000” is set to be released in early 2024. This long-awaited sequel to the original “Chaska, A Minnesota River City, Prehistory to 1950” is over 20 years in the making and covers a local history that many still remember.
The project was started by Mark Olson, a former editor at the Chaska Herald who began writing the book in the early 2000s. While the book has many authors, Lisa Oberski, the president of the Chaska Historical Society, is credited as the editor and has been overseeing the project since becoming president of the Chaska Historical Society in 2016.
